Avodah is our Faith & Work Ministry that equips and encourage Christians to be fully present in the workplace. Apprenticeships and Internships are a way to learn about ministry, serve the church and explore whether God is calling you to a life of ministry in a particular area. We offer internships once per year, so email

info at solanochurch.org if you’d like to find out more.

    Count Me In

Mission Statement: Bringing the good news of Christ to our neighbors by serving their needs.

What We Organize: Service projects to people in the community that need help taking care of their homes, whether because of age, illness, injury, or any other reason. We mobilize the entire church to serve twice a year in the spring and in the fall, but also take on individual projects as they arise throughout the year.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to help the hurting and restore human dignity in Jesus’ name as a church community.

What We Organize: Volunteer opportunities through Support Circle Pregnancy Clinics to help women, men and children facing unplanned pregnancy and abortion.  We also fight sex trafficking by helping the Marist Missionary Sisters put up posters in businesses in Alameda County that are required by law and which provide hotline services to help trafficked women.

The goals of this ministry are to grow our compassion and understanding towards the homeless and poor, and to act to help.

Past and ongoing opportunities to serve: Turkey Drive, Adopt A Family Christmas Drive, DHWG Shower Program and Sandwich Distribution every Friday, Quarterly CityTeam Hope Cafe Dinner, Neighborhood Church Monthly Homeless Breakfast every 4th Saturday.
