history

Solano Community Church was founded in 2004 as an extension of the Evangelical Free Church of Oakland. The first worship services were held in the living room of a member's home and we soon moved to the Albany Community Center. In December 2010, SCC began worshipping at Ocean View Elementary School to better accommodate the growing congregation and the increasing number of children. In December 2019, we began worshipping at our El Cerrito Campus due to renovations at Ocean View Elementary School. In addition to worshiping together on Sundays, SCC encourages equal emphasis on participation in Home Groups (where attendees can experience fellowship and explore Scripture during the week) as well as service projects to benefit the needy, elderly, and infirm to promote community and spiritual growth.

Perhaps the greatest legacy of this young church is the many stories of people discovering faith and being transformed by the Gospel. Some of these stories are available online.
